Okay, I'm not much of a tights person unless they're going under a dress or a big sweater, and even then I prefer them to be black or gray or some shade of a neutral.  But, can we talk about how happy these tights make me?  I've been into color more so than ever lately. And what's more perfect than these brightly designed tights to start me off on my color adventures?

Something else that I have had my eye on for quite some time are these hand blown glass bubble planters.  I am so in love with them especially ever since I'd decided to start a garden this Spring.  I ran across them while searching for a Mother's Day gift for my mom, and unfortunately fell in love with them.  They are very reasonably priced and would make the perfect Mother's Day gift for your mom, grandma, or even just a friend!  Now I just have to decide which shape I want, and what one my grandma would love.

This Mother's Day my mom has asked for much needed coasters, so I have been on the hunt, willingly.  A few have caught my eye but don't seem to go with the decor in our home, until I ran across these coffee inspired ceramics.  My mom is a huge fan of anything with a cafe or bistrou feel to it, and I think these coasters may have her name written all over it.  What do you think?

A Journey Towards Minimalism

So, forgive me, I'm attempting to type a blog post via iPhone in one hand and a sleeping baby in the other. Lately, I have been reflecting on my lifestyle and I've come to the conclusion that I've made some wrong choices for my body, my health, my emotional state, and my family.  I've also come to terms with needing to make some major changes on a slow but steady pace. My first goal is downsizing.  To go a little further I'm talking about minimizing, decluttering, living with less excess in my life.  The excess I am speaking of is anything from too many pairs of shoes or scarves to too many magazine subscriptions. My husband and I have donated six large garbage bags of STUFF.  That seems like quite some excess to me.  Sadly, I am no where near finished or at the place I would like to be, but I will get there. If anyone else is interested in downsizing some clutter in their own lives I definitely recommend sproutandblossom YouTube channel and her blog, as well....
